\u00a0L\u2019\u00e9conomie de la r\u00e9gion du Sahel est essentiellement structur\u00e9e autour d\u2019activit\u00e9s \u00e0 dominante rurale. L\u2019agriculture, l\u2019\u00e9levage et le commerce occupent une place pr\u00e9pond\u00e9rante dans le l\u2019\u00e9conomie de la r\u00e9gion. Ces secteurs sont compl\u00e9t\u00e9s par l\u2019artisanat et un tissu industriel encore peu d\u00e9velopp\u00e9.\u00a0 Dans un contexte marqu\u00e9 par des d\u00e9fis s\u00e9curitaires, climatiques et humanitaires, le Plan R\u00e9gional de D\u00e9veloppement (PRD) ambitionne de faire du d\u00e9veloppement \u00e9conomique et de la promotion des investissements des axes strat\u00e9giques prioritaires pour renforcer la r\u00e9silience de la r\u00e9gion, am\u00e9liorer durablement les conditions de vie des populations et soutenir la dynamique de croissance locale.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

    Agriculture<\/span> <\/span><\/h2>\t\t\t\t\t

    L\u2019agriculture et l\u2019\u00e9levage constituent le socle de l\u2019\u00e9conomie r\u00e9gionale du Sahel. Ils mobilisent une part importante de la population active et contribuent significativement \u00e0 la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 alimentaire r\u00e9gionale et nationale.<\/p>

    La production agricole de la r\u00e9gion du Sahel s\u2019inscrit dans un contexte caract\u00e9ris\u00e9 par la variabilit\u00e9 climatique, la pression sur les ressources productives et des contraintes s\u00e9curitaires influen\u00e7ant l\u2019organisation des syst\u00e8mes de production. Entre les campagnes 2016-2017 et 2024-2025, la production c\u00e9r\u00e9ali\u00e8re de la r\u00e9gion pr\u00e9sente une tendance baissi\u00e8re, passant d\u2019un pic de 362 767 tonnes en 2018-2019 \u00e0 124 324 tonnes en 2024-2025, \u00e0 la suite de plusieurs campagnes marqu\u00e9es par un repli progressif des volumes. Le potentiel de bas-fonds am\u00e9nageables est estim\u00e9 \u00e0 5 547 hectares avec un am\u00e9nagement effectif actuel de 1 160 hectares. Le volume d\u2019espace am\u00e9nag\u00e9 mise en perspective avec l\u2019existence d\u2019un potentiel important de bas-fonds am\u00e9nageables, souligne les perspectives de valorisation des espaces productifs pr\u00e9vues par le Plan R\u00e9gional de D\u00e9veloppement, notamment \u00e0 travers le renforcement de la ma\u00eetrise de l\u2019eau et la modernisation des syst\u00e8mes de production.<\/p><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    L\u2019\u00e9levage constitue l\u2019autre pilier majeur de l\u2019\u00e9conomie r\u00e9gionale et l\u2019un des moyens d\u2019existence des m\u00e9nages. Il reste tout de m\u00eame marqu\u00e9 par des contraintes climatiques, s\u00e9curitaires et pastorales.\u00a0 Entre 2015 et 2024, l\u2019\u00e9volution du cheptel met en \u00e9vidence des dynamiques contrast\u00e9es selon les esp\u00e8ces. Les effectifs de bovins connaissent une \u00e9volution fluctuante, avec des niveaux sup\u00e9rieurs \u00e0 02 millions de t\u00eates observ\u00e9s autour de 2018-2019, suivis d\u2019un repli progressif pour atteindre 1\u00a0373 200 t\u00eates en 2024. \u00c0 l\u2019inverse, les ovins et caprins, demeurent structurellement dominants, avec des effectifs estim\u00e9s respectivement \u00e0 1\u00a0517 600 t\u00eates et 1\u00a0607 000 en 2024. Les porcins et camelins restent quantitativement plus faibles, avec des effectifs inf\u00e9rieurs \u00e0 100\u00a0000 t\u00eates en 2024 (porcins\u00a0: 93\u00a0500 t\u00eates camelins\u00a0: 36 700 t\u00eates) bien que certaines campagnes aient enregistr\u00e9 des niveaux plus \u00e9lev\u00e9s. Ces \u00e9volutions illustrent l\u2019existence d\u2019un potentiel pastoral important, en coh\u00e9rence avec les orientations du Plan R\u00e9gional de D\u00e9veloppement ax\u00e9es sur la s\u00e9curisation des espaces pastoraux et la valorisation durable des fili\u00e8res animales.<\/p><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

      La R\u00e9gion poss\u00e8de un riche potentiel minier (or, fer et mangan\u00e8se). L\u2019exploitation aurif\u00e8re semble \u00eatre la principale activit\u00e9 mini\u00e8re existante. On distingue quatre types de site aurif\u00e8res\u00a0:<\/p>

      • Les sites d\u2019exploitations industrielles et semi-industrielles ;<\/li>
      • Les sites d\u2019exploitation artisanale encadr\u00e9s ;<\/li>
      • Les sites d\u2019exploitation artisanale suivis par les soci\u00e9t\u00e9s d\u2019exploitation mini\u00e8re ;<\/li>
      • Les sites d\u2019exploitation artisanale non encadr\u00e9s (orpaillage sauvage).<\/li><\/ul>

        Les plus importants sites aurif\u00e8res la r\u00e9gion du Sahel sont\u00a0: Essakan dans les provinces du S\u00e9no et de l\u2019Oudalan, Inata dans la R\u00e9gion du Soum, Gangaol dans le S\u00e9no, Solhan dans le Yagha, etc. on a environ 80 sites aurif\u00e8res.\u00a0<\/p><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

        Le Sahel (Liptako et Soum) regorge de potentiels pour des substances de carri\u00e8res (mat\u00e9riaux de construction, granites) n\u00e9cessaires aux infrastructures, bien que la production soit affect\u00e9e par la situation s\u00e9curitaire teint\u00e9e par l\u2019hydre terroriste.<\/p>

          Elle est principalement compos\u00e9e par l\u2019agro-transformation, les mines artisanales, les laiteries, les boulangeries et les unit\u00e9s d\u2019ensachage d\u2019eau pr\u00e9emball\u00e9es. On rel\u00e8ve dans l\u2019ensemble des unit\u00e9s de faible taille et d\u2019une faible productivit\u00e9 moyenne.<\/p>

          En termes d\u2019apport \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9conomie locale et nationale, nous notons la cr\u00e9ation d\u2019emploi qui hausse le pouvoir d\u2019achat des populations du Liptako, la dynamisation et l\u2019alimentation de l\u2019\u00e9conomie locale et nationale, la contribution aux recettes fiscales du pays, la contribution aux recettes li\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019exportation des produits manufactur\u00e9s et de l\u2019or, la contribution \u00e0 la mise en \u0153uvre de la strat\u00e9gie nationale d\u2019industrialisation.<\/p>

                Transport<\/span> <\/span><\/h2>\t\t\t\t\t

                Le r\u00e9seau routier du sahel reste \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer.\u00a0 Dori\u00a0 (chef-lieu de la r\u00e9gion du Liptako) est la seule ville des deux r\u00e9gions reli\u00e9e \u00e0 la capitale du pays (Ouagadougou).\u00a0 Les autres villes sont reli\u00e9es entre elles par des routes secondaires en terre. Une dizaine de soci\u00e9t\u00e9s de transport bravaient quotidiennement ces conditions avec enthousiasme pour desservir les deux r\u00e9gions. De nos jours la situation sembles plus compliqu\u00e9e avec le terrorisme qui impose le trafic par convois ou escortes militaires.<\/p>
